Website redesign checklist: 12 things your business site must do in 2026
Most small business websites fail the same dozen checks. Run this list against yours — each miss is costing you customers you'll never know about.

Your website has one job: turn a visitor with intent into a call, booking, or order. Design awards don't matter; these twelve checks do.
Findability & speed
Loads in under three seconds on a phone. Passes Core Web Vitals. Has unique titles and descriptions on every page. Uses schema markup so search engines — and AI assistants — understand what you offer, where, and for whom.
Trust & conversion
Shows real photos, not stock. Displays reviews prominently. States prices or ranges where possible — hiding them loses more leads than it protects margin. Puts a phone number and primary call-to-action in the header, visible on every scroll.
The details most sites miss
A dedicated page per service and per location — one generic 'services' page can't rank for anything. Forms that ask three fields, not eleven. An SSL certificate and current copyright year, because visitors notice decay. And analytics that tie visits to actual calls and form fills.
Elevaro websites ship with all twelve — and our team keeps them current so the checklist never drifts.
